Roberta was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up there in the suburb of Clayton. During high school she could most often be found at the pool where she captained her high school swim team and was a 2- time state diving champion. During the summers her professor father would recruit her to work at his many real estate projects buying, rehabbing, selling & renting small apartment buildings in somewhat questionable city neighborhoods which offered affordable housing for his students and others. Roberta became an excellent painter and was able to pay for much of college with this skill. It was also her first real estate experience.

She attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois and graduated in 1979 with a degree in Environmental Studies. Settling in Chicago after graduation Roberta took a job with the investment banking firm of John Nuveen & Company where she was responsible for the daily pricing of $3 billion of the firm’s municipal bond funds and eventually became the firm’s first female bond trader.

But real estate was in her blood and after dragging her husband to one too many Sunday open houses, he suggested that she “get a job in it”! She took his advice and began selling real estate in 1989.

Roberta began her real estate career in Lincoln Park and the near north side where she lived with her husband for over a decade. Her eventual move to Evanston in 1992 expanded her market knowledge to include the North Shore suburbs.

Over the years she has represented buyers, seller and luxury home builders in both markets. Roberta has closed over $250 million in successful transactions. She maintains a Platinum level of customer satisfaction as independently measured through the “Quality Service Guarantee” program with a 100% client satisfaction rating – the highest attainable. Her extensive experience in both markets is especially helpful to those buyers making their first move from the city to the suburbs, as well as those relocating back “downtown”. Roberta’s expertise in both areas assures seamless transactions for all involved.

Roberta has lived in Evanston since 1992 with her husband and their 15 year old son. An avid gardener and home renovator/decorator she enjoys working on her 100+ year old farmhouse and in her extensive perennial gardens.
