James Horwath is a native of Chicago and specializes in city neighborhoods from the South Loop to Lincoln Square as well as other city neighborhoods and near suburbs. He joined Prudential Rubloff Properties in 2007 after nearly four years as a full-time professional Realtor with Baird & Warner.

At Baird & Warner he was a top producer each year from 2004 through 2006. He was elected by his colleagues to the Lincoln Park Office Advisory Board in 2006 and 2007 and was elected to the Baird & Warner corporate Agent Advisory Board in 2007.

At Prudential Rubloff he has been a top producer each year from 2007 through 2011. James is a Prudential Certified Fine Homes International Specialist, Prudential Certified Relocation Specialist, and an Accredited Distressed Property Representative.

James has over 20 years of sales, management, and software development experience in the financial services and real estate industries. Prior to his real estate career he was a management consultant with KPMG Consulting and Price Waterhouse. Prior to this he was Director of Information Technology for the Investments Division of CNA Insurance in Chicago. Prior to this he held management positions in information technology with the Continuum Company in Austin, Texas and Transamerica Commercial Finance in Chicago, and was a software developer with Time, Inc. in Chicago.

Prior to his work in the business sector, he was a professional musician. James holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College, a Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon, and was a participant in the International Academy for Organists in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
