John's career move into residential real estate was preceded by a distinguished career in management at The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Born and raised in Iowa, John has called Chicago home since 1985. He received his B.S. from Iowa State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His real estate focus is on the needs of buyers and sellers of Gold Coast homes, ranging from condominiums and townhouses to single family homes and cooperative apartments on East Lake Shore Drive.

John is a director of the Architecture and Design Society of the Art Institute of Chicago, He is a member of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Lincoln Park Zoo Society, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Chicago Botanical Gardens, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Archives of American Art of the Smithsonian Institute, Habitat for Humanity, and the Lake Shore Drive ASTOR Street Association.
