Before joining Prudential Rubloff, Sharon worked in the Trust Investment Department of the Northern Trust Company, after attending Black Hawk Junior College and Northwestern University.

Sharon is a member of the Woman's Board of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center; the Woman's Board of The Field Museum; the Costume Committee of the Chicago Historical Society; the Junior League of Chicago; and the Woman's Athletic Club. Her many other philanthropic affiliations have included the President's Committee of Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois, Associate Board of the Girl Scouts, Associates of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Lukes, and the Auxiliary Board of the Mental Health Organization.
