James A. Horwath is a native of Chicago and specializes in city neighborhoods from Hyde Park northward to Evanston. He joined Prudential Rubloff Properties in May 2007 after nearly four years as a full-time professional Realtor with Baird & Warner.

James is a Prudential Fine Homes International Specialist, Prudential Certified Relocation Specialist, and earned the Accredited Distressed Property Representative (ADPR) designation.

At Prudential Rubloff, he is a Top Producer, having achieved the Leading Edge Society Award for sales in 2007, '08, '10, and '11 and the Honor Society Award in '09. At Baird & Warner he was a Top Producer in 2004, '05, and '06. He was elected by his colleagues to the Lincoln Park Office Advisory Board in 2006 and '07 and was elected to the corporate Agent Advisory Board in 2007.

James has over 20 years sales and management experience in the financial services, information technology, and real estate industries. Prior to his real estate career he was a management consultant, holding positions as Senior Manager with KPMG Consulting and Principal Consultant with Price Waterhouse. Prior to this he was Director of Information Technology for the Investments Division of CNA Insurance.

Prior to his work in the business sector, he was a professional musician. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon, and was a participant in the International Academy of Organists in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
